Oceanox is a leader in the design and installation of sea water scrubbers for ships.
Sea water scrubbing is the process by which sulphur and particulates are removed from exhaust gases by post combustion intimate mixing with sea water. Oceanox’s patented technology for this process is called the “Ecobox”.
In order to comply with existing and impending SOx legislation ship operators will have to choose between switching from residual fuels to distillate, at a significant cost premium, or investing in post combustion exhaust gas cleaning equipment.
